The terms and conditions for using pdftomd.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using pdftomd (pdf-to-md.net), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The Service

pdftomd converts PDF documents you upload into Markdown. Conversion quality depends on the source document: digitally-created PDFs convert with the highest fidelity, and scanned/image-only PDFs are processed with AI OCR, whose accuracy varies with scan quality.

Plans, Quotas, and Billing

  1. Free plan — includes a daily conversion quota (currently 10 pages per day, reset at midnight UTC) and a per-file page limit. Quotas may be adjusted with notice.
  2. Paid subscriptions (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) — grant a monthly page allowance (credited to your account), higher per-file limits, and Vision mode, billed monthly or yearly through our payment providers.
  3. Cancellation — you may cancel anytime from your billing page. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload documents you do not have the right to process.
  • Upload content that is illegal, malicious, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to circumvent quotas, rate limits, or security measures.
  • Resell the service without our written consent.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the Markdown produced from them. You grant us only the limited right to process the file in order to perform the conversion and to store the resulting Markdown in your history.

Disclaimer & Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Conversion output may contain errors — review it before relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
